What You\'ll Be Doing
- Perform land and field surveys and associated geodetic calculations.
- Coordinate with clients and contractors to determine and verify project surveying requirements.
- Complete assigned surveying activities within project schedules, man-hour allocations, and cost
requirements.
- Check setting-out works and verify site levels.
- Verify existing service locations and support measures required for their protection.
- Prepare field sketches and maintain survey records including field books, sketches, and calculations.
- Assist the concerned Engineer with verification and checking of shop drawings.
- Perform routine verification of survey control points and benchmarks.
- Verify the setting out of irrigation, landscaping, infrastructure, and associated works.
- Record initial and final levels for completed and ongoing works.
- Verify earthwork cross sections.
- Take measurements of inspected works.
- Assist with the preparation of as-built drawings and review as-built record drawings.
- Participate in site health and safety activities as required by the Resident Engineer and project Safety Representative.
- Apply knowledge of survey terminology and technical information contained in maps, plats, drawings, and specifications.
- Perform calculations required for field surveying and verification activities.
- Carry out other responsibilities associated with the position when appropriate.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Diploma or Associate Degree in Civil Engineering, Land Surveying, or an equivalent qualification.
- Minimum four years of experience in inspection and supervision of irrigation and landscaping works within infrastructure construction and supervision projects.
- Recent UAE work experience is required, particularly experience in Dubai.
- Experience using surveying equipment and related systems including total station, level, and theodolite.
- Working knowledge of MicroStation and AutoCAD.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
