Key Responsibilities
* Conduct topographic, control, and setting-out surveys for infrastructure projects, including stormwater drainage and microtunneling works.
* Establish, verify, and maintain survey control points, benchmarks, reference grids, and site coordinate systems.
* Review approved drawings, alignment data, survey references, and coordinate information in line with local standards and project requirements.
* Perform precise measurements for horizontal alignments, vertical alignments, pipe inverts, tunnel drives, shaft locations, and related infrastructure works.
* Monitor microtunneling drive alignments and breakthrough coordinates to ensure compliance with approved tolerances.
* Conduct as-built surveys and verify the accuracy of contractor as-built drawings.
* Maintain updated survey records, field books, digital files, calibration logs, and supporting documentation.
* Collaborate with contractors, supervision teams, and project engineers to resolve survey discrepancies, deviations, and site measurement issues.
* Verify and certify survey results for measurement sheets, interim payments, progress verification, and project records.
* Participate in pre-construction and progress meetings to provide updates on survey status, field constraints, and required actions.
* Ensure field survey operations follow health, safety, quality assurance, and project control procedures.
* Calibrate and maintain survey instruments in line with project QA requirements.
* Provide survey support during testing, commissioning, and handover by verifying final levels, coordinates, and completed works.
Ideal Profile
* Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
* Minimum 7 years of experience in surveying and setting-out for infrastructure projects.
* Minimum 3 years diploma in Civil or Surveying is acceptable where relevant experience is strong.
* RTA approval and certification for microtunneling works is mandatory.
* RTA or Dubai Municipality approval is mandatory.
* Strong experience in stormwater drainage, deep pipeline works, shaft construction, and tunnel alignment monitoring.
* Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, GPS, Total Station, and surveying software.
* Strong understanding of coordinate systems, datum control, vertical alignment verification, and field measurement accuracy.
* Familiarity with RTA, Dubai Municipality, and DEWA standards for utility and infrastructure projects.
* Good knowledge of UAE construction standards and Dubai site procedures.
* Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in fieldwork, documentation, and reporting.
* Good physical fitness for site-based field activities.
