Role Context

This position provides senior technical leadership for structural engineering activities carried out on construction sites. The Lead


Field Engineer will ensure that structural elements, materials, workmanship, testing, and installation methods comply with approved drawings, project specifications, safety requirements, and the Saudi Building Code.

The role serves as a critical connection between design intent and field execution. Through daily inspections, technical reviews, team supervision, and timely issue resolution, the engineer will help protect structural integrity, construction quality, project schedules, and stakeholder confidence.

Key Responsibilities

* Lead and coordinate structural engineering activities across assigned construction areas.
* Verify that field execution follows approved structural drawings, specifications, method statements, and project requirements.
* Conduct daily inspections covering structural integrity, reinforcement, concrete works, steelwork, materials, and workmanship.
* Identify construction deviations, design conflicts, quality concerns, and potential structural risks.
* Analyze field conditions and recommend practical engineering solutions in coordination with design and project teams.
* Review structural drawings, calculations, technical submissions, shop drawings, and construction documentation.
* Confirm compliance with the Saudi Building Code, IBC, ACI, AISC, and other applicable engineering standards.
* Manage material testing, inspection requests, certifications, and quality verification records.
* Coordinate with architects, project managers, contractors, consultants, and other engineering disciplines.
* Resolve structural queries and site issues without compromising design intent, safety, quality, or schedule.
* Lead field engineers and technicians by assigning tasks, reviewing outputs, and monitoring performance.
* Mentor junior personnel and strengthen technical capability across the site engineering team.
* Prepare detailed daily reports, inspection logs, technical observations, and compliance documentation.
* Communicate structural findings, recommendations, risks, and required actions to relevant stakeholders.
* Participate in progress, technical, quality, and coordination meetings.
* Provide structural input on sequencing, resource planning, construction methodology, and project timelines.
* Enforce site safety procedures and promote disciplined working practices.
* Support corrective action reviews and confirm that identified deficiencies are properly closed.
* Maintain accurate digital records using approved construction management and documentation systems.

Ideal Profile

The successful candidate will have at least 15 years of professional experience in structural engineering, field operations, construction supervision, or site-based technical management. A strong record of overseeing large commercial, industrial, infrastructure, or complex building projects is required.

Applicants must be able to interpret structural drawings, assess construction quality, evaluate field conditions, and make sound technical decisions. Comprehensive knowledge of concrete, steel, structural materials, testing procedures, inspection methods, and international building standards is essential.

The role requires proven leadership experience supervising engineers and technicians, together with strong communication, organization, and analytical skills. Previous project exposure in Saudi Arabia or the wider Middle East will be highly valuable.

A Project Management Professional certification, Building Information Modeling experience, and familiarity with digital construction management platforms would strengthen an application.
