Position Overview
The NOC Engineer – Infrastructure and Civil Projects role at the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) Dubai involves preparing, reviewing, and issuing no objection certificates (NOCs) for infrastructure and service projects. Based in Dubai, this position plays a vital part in ensuring compliance with policies, regulations, and service standards across major civil works and utility distribution initiatives in the Emirate.
What You’ll Do
* Assist the Manager and Chief Engineers in drafting policies and regulations for the issuance of NOCs for infrastructure works and services.
* Participate in workshops and initiatives related to NOC processes.
* Review, study, and issue NOCs for infrastructure works and service projects as per assigned responsibilities in coordination with the line manager.
* Contribute to updating five-year road project plans in alignment with Dubai’s service authority plans.
* Manage and coordinate service distribution effectively based on standards and best practices adopted by RTA.
* Handle and resolve complaints from RTA units and external stakeholders, escalating significant cases with recommendations to the line manager.
* Support in resolving issues related to utility distribution in coordination with the line manager.
* Ensure implementation of RTA policies, legislation, and procedures concerning NOC issuance.
* Monitor and follow up on daily section activities involving NOC issuance across projects submitted by various agencies.
* Facilitate communication and coordination between consultants, contractors, RTA units, and service authorities to streamline NOC approvals for projects.
Ideal Profile
* Bachelor’s degree or Higher Diploma in Civil Engineering or a related field from a recognized university.
* Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in civil engineering or related infrastructure works.
* Strong knowledge of infrastructure planning, service distribution, and NOC processes.
* Excellent coordination, problem-solving, and communication skills.
* Ability to work effectively with multiple stakeholders including contractors, consultants, and service authorities.
