Key Responsibilities
* Lead and guide highway design engineers working on major road, civil, and infrastructure projects.
* Review engineering drawings, design reports, technical specifications, calculations, and project deliverables for quality, accuracy, and compliance.
* Develop highway design schemes with strong focus on geometric design, road alignment, junction layouts, levels, and infrastructure integration.
* Check key geometric elements and resolve challenging design constraints in coordination with project stakeholders.
* Support the Design Manager with technical task allocation, engineering priorities, workload planning, and design progress monitoring.
* Coordinate daily project deliverables and ensure timely completion of design submissions.
* Conduct detailed engineering reviews to maintain Parsons quality standards and client requirements.
* Work closely with CAD and BIM teams to coordinate highway drawings, models, plans, sections, and technical outputs.
* Support Proposal Managers with technical input, resource planning, and highway design expertise for new project opportunities.
* Manage engineering resources and help align team capacity with project schedules and delivery milestones.
* Prepare and review technical reports, presentations, design narratives, and engineering documentation.
* Identify value engineering opportunities across highway design, material selection, constructability, safety, and long-term performance.
Ideal Profile
* Degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, or a closely related discipline from a reputable university.
* Minimum 13 years of experience in major highway design, road infrastructure, transportation, or civil engineering projects.
* Strong design knowledge of UAE highway standards, local authority requirements, and relevant international design codes.
* Proven ability to lead design engineers and review multidisciplinary infrastructure deliverables.
* Strong understanding of road geometry, civil works coordination, highway materials, constructability, and design quality control.
* Proficiency in highway design software including Civil 3D, Bentley InRoads, and OpenRoads.
* Knowledge of road safety principles and BIM-based design coordination is highly valuable.
* Strong English communication skills with the ability to prepare clear reports, technical submissions, and presentations.
* Confident decision-maker with the ability to solve design challenges and coordinate with internal departments, clients, consultants, and external authorities.
