What You\'ll Be Doing
- Coordinate infrastructure design activities across multiple engineering teams and disciplines.
- Follow the development of infrastructure projects through relevant design stages.
- Coordinate design
deliverables against established project objectives, schedules, and budgets.
- Act as a coordination point between design teams, clients, and relevant authorities.
- Facilitate communication between internal and external teams to maintain alignment on project requirements.
- Monitor multidisciplinary inputs and help resolve coordination matters affecting design development.
- Conduct quality checks on design documents and technical specifications.
- Verify that design outputs address applicable safety, environmental, and sustainability requirements.
- Maintain detailed project documentation, including design plans, progress information, and compliance records.
- Prepare project progress reports for management and Client review.
- Develop presentations communicating project status and key developments.
- Monitor design compliance with applicable regulatory requirements.
- Keep informed of changes to relevant infrastructure design standards and codes.
Infrastructure Design Coordination
The Project Coordination Engineer will support effective integration of multidisciplinary infrastructure design activities from concept through subsequent development stages. The position requires close coordination with engineering teams to keep technical outputs aligned with project requirements while maintaining visibility of schedules, budgets, quality, and outstanding interfaces.
The role will also help ensure that information moves efficiently between technical teams, management, the Client, and external authorities so that design decisions and required actions can progress without unnecessary delays.
Quality and Compliance
- Review design documentation for completeness and consistency with project requirements.
- Support quality checks on technical drawings, specifications, and related deliverables.
- Monitor applicable safety and environmental considerations within infrastructure designs.
- Support implementation of sustainability considerations where required by the project.
- Maintain compliance documentation and relevant project records.
- Monitor applicable infrastructure standards and regulatory requirements.
- Support coordination with statutory authorities on design-related matters.
Reporting and Stakeholder Coordination
The role will prepare clear progress information and presentations for management and the Client while maintaining accurate project documentation. Strong interpersonal skills will be important when coordinating different technical disciplines and working with external stakeholders.
The successful candidate should be comfortable operating in a dynamic project environment where priorities may change and several design activities may progress concurrently.
