Role Context
This leadership role is responsible for directing the full lifecycle of major infrastructure programmes, ensuring alignment between technical delivery, commercial objectives, and client expectations. The Project Director manages high-level coordination across teams, regulatory authorities, and contractors while maintaining control over cost, schedule, and performance outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
* Represent the organization in all client and stakeholder interactions throughout project execution
* Lead negotiations on scope changes, contracts, and project adjustments with clients and subcontractors
* Oversee development and execution of project plans including safety, quality, and delivery strategies
* Direct all technical, commercial, financial, and administrative aspects of the project
* Establish programme requirements and ensure all deliverables meet defined standards
* Mobilize internal resources and build high-performing project teams across disciplines
* Manage project budgets, schedules, and operational plans to ensure successful outcomes
* Monitor project performance and implement corrective actions to address risks or delays
* Coordinate with regulatory authorities and participate in approvals and public meetings
* Drive quality assurance practices and ensure compliance with engineering standards
* Lead regular progress meetings and communicate status updates to senior management
* Support business development efforts to secure additional project opportunities
Ideal Profile
* Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related discipline
* Minimum 20 years of experience in infrastructure or engineering project management
* Extensive experience managing large multidisciplinary engineering teams
* Strong background in project delivery within Middle East infrastructure projects
* Proven leadership in handling complex technical and commercial project environments
* Strong knowledge of industry regulations, project controls, and engineering practices
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
* Ability to manage high-value projects with multiple stakeholders and priorities
