Role Context
The Senior Civil Engineer - Site Development will
provide practical engineering leadership across major civil infrastructure packages in Tabuk. The position supports the technical bridge between design intent and field execution, ensuring that grading, roadways, drainage, earthworks, and utility networks are coordinated, buildable, compliant, and aligned with project delivery milestones. This role also helps reduce design conflicts, improve contractor performance, and maintain high engineering standards across multidisciplinary work areas.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead technical review of civil engineering works covering site grading, road alignments, stormwater drainage, earthworks, and wet utility systems.
* Examine contractor shop drawings, design calculations, material specifications, method statements, and technical submittals for compliance.
* Review civil design deliverables against project requirements, Saudi Building Code, AASHTO, ASTM, and relevant international standards.
* Provide senior engineering input during infrastructure master planning, design coordination, construction sequencing, and site issue resolution.
* Support design approvals by coordinating with clients, consultants, stakeholders, and local municipal authorities.
* Guide junior engineers and design team members on technical reviews, quality expectations, and engineering deliverable standards.
* Work closely with structural, mechanical, electrical, architectural, planning, project management, and construction teams to resolve interface conflicts.
* Conduct site visits, technical audits, and field inspections to verify that construction activities follow approved drawings and specifications.
* Identify complex site issues related to grading levels, utilities, access roads, drainage connections, earthworks, and constructability.
* Recommend practical engineering solutions that protect safety, quality, cost efficiency, and project schedule performance.
* Prepare technical comments, engineering reports, review trackers, design responses, and progress inputs for project leadership.
* Support continuous improvement in civil engineering coordination, documentation quality, and construction supervision practices.
Ideal Profile
* Bachelor\'s degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related engineering discipline from an accredited university.
* Minimum 12 years of progressive civil engineering experience.
* Strong experience in large-scale infrastructure, land development, site development, or mega project environments.
* Proven ability to review civil design packages, contractor submissions, shop drawings, calculations, and technical specifications.
* Solid knowledge of roadways, site grading, stormwater drainage, wet utilities, earthworks, and infrastructure coordination.
* Professional Engineer, Chartered Engineer, or equivalent professional registration is highly preferred.
* Advanced working knowledge of Civil 3D, AutoCAD, hydraulic modeling tools, and civil engineering design workflows.
* Strong understanding of Saudi Building Code, AASHTO, ASTM, and international civil engineering standards.
* Ability to lead technical discussions with clients, contractors, consultants, authorities, and senior project stakeholders.
* Strong leadership, negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills in English.
