Role Context

Key Responsibilities
* Supervise civil infrastructure works associated with sewage treatment plant projects.
* Monitor the construction of stormwater drainage networks, roads and utility corridors.
* Review construction methodologies, shop drawings and material submittals.
* Assess contractor work programs for compliance with project requirements.
* Verify that construction follows approved drawings and technical specifications.
* Monitor compliance with project schedules and HSE requirements.
* Coordinate with contractors, consultants, authorities and project stakeholders.
* Resolve technical issues and construction constraints arising on site.
* Conduct inspections and verify the quality of completed work.
* Monitor quality-control procedures and supporting documentation.
* Review contractor progress reports and payment applications.
* Evaluate variation orders, claims and proposed changes.
* Identify construction risks and recommend suitable mitigation measures.
* Monitor project milestones and support timely delivery.
* Assist project-management teams with planning and scheduling.
* Support appropriate workforce, equipment and resource allocation.
* Prepare technical reports, site instructions and progress updates.
* Issue non-conformance reports when work does not meet approved requirements.
* Monitor corrective actions and verify satisfactory closure.
* Maintain consistent quality and safety standards throughout construction.
Ideal Profile
* Bachelor\'s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university.
* Professional Engineering certification is advantageous.
* Membership in a recognized engineering institution is preferred.
* Minimum 15 years of post-graduate construction and supervision experience.
* Extensive experience with stormwater drainage networks, roads and utilities.
* Previous involvement in sewage treatment plant infrastructure projects.
* Proven experience delivering large wastewater and drainage developments.
* Strong GCC infrastructure project experience.
* Understanding of international construction standards and specifications.
* Familiarity with established quality assurance and quality control practices.
* Experience working with government authorities and major infrastructure clients is preferred.
* Ability to review technical submissions, payment applications and variation orders.
* Strong contractor coordination and construction problem-solving abilities.
* Effective technical reporting and stakeholder communication skills.
* Commitment to maintaining project quality, safety and schedule objectives.
