Role Context
This role oversees the full lifecycle of major rail projects, ensuring alignment between planning, design, procurement, and construction activities. The Senior Project Manager plays a central role in coordinating multidisciplinary teams, managing interfaces, and delivering projects within time, cost, and quality targets.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead planning, coordination, and execution of rail project phases from concept to completion
* Monitor contractor and consultant performance against schedules, budgets, and quality standards
* Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, environmental standards, and safety protocols
* Manage project interfaces between multiple work packages and systems
* Oversee preparation of tender documentation and secure necessary approvals
* Implement quality assurance processes and conduct inspections to ensure compliance
* Lead stakeholder communication and provide regular progress updates
* Manage contract delivery, including change control and reporting mechanisms
* Identify risks, delays, and cost impacts, and implement corrective strategies
* Oversee development of key project plans including safety, quality, and commissioning plans
* Promote collaboration and best practices across project teams
Ideal Profile
* Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with strong technical background
* Minimum 15 years of experience in rail or major infrastructure projects
* Proven expertise in managing high-speed rail or transit projects
* Strong experience in construction and project management environments
* Ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships and multidisciplinary teams
* Strong commercial awareness and project financial understanding
