What You\'ll Be Doing
- Lead the construction supervision team responsible for infrastructure works on a community development project
in Dubai.
- Manage the engineering scope, schedules, change management activities, and closeout requirements for assigned project elements.
- Monitor construction progress against schedule and budget requirements and identify changes in project scope.
- Coordinate with government authorities and agencies to obtain required approvals and facilitate the handover of project works and services.
- Interface with contractors and subcontractors to support compliance with contractual requirements and agreed deliverables.
- Review completed work to confirm compliance with applicable codes, standards, procedures, and project quality requirements.
- Review and approve change orders and communicate approved changes to project management and other affected personnel.
- Manage client expectations and provide periodic updates on construction and project progress.
- Maintain close liaison with relevant authorities to support smooth project execution, commissioning, approvals, and final handover.
- Help ensure Parsons\' contractual rights and obligations are properly fulfilled throughout project delivery.
Required Skills and Experience
- Bachelor\'s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from a recognized university.
- Minimum 20+ years of overall experience in construction supervision of infrastructure projects, including roads and utilities, within the UAE.
- Recent and substantial experience with community development projects is required, preferably in Dubai.
- Knowledge of NOC procedures, commissioning requirements, and government authority specifications and procedures within the Emirate of Dubai.
- Strong technical knowledge of relevant engineering standards and codes.
- Knowledge of construction health, safety, and environmental requirements.
- Good computer skills and proficiency with software relevant to the field.
- Strong written and spoken communication skills.
