Position Overview
Parsons is hiring a Senior Transport and Crowd Modeller in Abu Dhabi, UAE to lead technical delivery across transport modelling, pedestrian and crowd modelling, and mobility planning assignments. The role covers mobility strategies, traffic impact studies, multimodal assessments, circulation and access planning, parking studies, operational reviews, and developer-led mobility projects.
The position combines advanced modelling and analytical responsibilities with technical reporting, QA-QC, stakeholder coordination, and review of work produced by supporting teams. The successful candidate will apply transport and pedestrian modelling tools to evaluate demand, network performance, traffic operations, and pedestrian movement for projects
in Abu Dhabi and the wider region.

What You\'ll Be Doing
* Lead technical tasks for transport modelling, crowd modelling, and mobility planning assignments.
* Deliver mobility studies covering master plan mobility strategies, circulation and access, traffic impact studies, multimodal planning, parking assessments, and operational reviews.
* Support developer-led mobility and transportation studies.
* Develop, review, calibrate, and validate transport and pedestrian models using appropriate modelling platforms and accepted industry practices.
* Undertake transport demand assessments, traffic analysis, and pedestrian movement evaluations.
* Interpret modelling results and translate technical findings into clear recommendations and project outputs.
* Prepare technical reports, presentations, analytical outputs, demand assessments, and modelling summaries.
* Present technical findings to clients, stakeholders, and relevant authorities.
Technical Review and Quality Control
* Apply established QA-QC procedures throughout modelling and mobility planning assignments.
* Review technical work prepared by junior staff, peers, and supporting project teams.
* Check modelling assumptions, inputs, calibration, validation, analysis, and resulting technical outputs.
* Support consistent technical standards across transportation and crowd modelling deliverables.
* Coordinate modelling requirements and interfaces with other disciplines involved in project delivery.
Client and Stakeholder Coordination
The Senior Transport and Crowd Modeller will coordinate with clients, government authorities, stakeholders, teaming partners, sub-consultants, and internal project teams. The role requires clear communication of complex modelling results and effective coordination of technical inputs throughout project development.
The position will also support proposals by contributing technical approaches, scopes of work, schedules, and related submission materials.
What Required Skills You\'ll Bring
* Bachelor\'s degree in Engineering, Planning, Geography, Mathematics, or a related field from a recognized university.
* More than 6 years of relevant experience in transport modelling, traffic modelling, crowd modelling, and transport planning.
* Experience covering model development, demand estimation, calibration, validation, traffic analysis, and pedestrian assessment.
* Substantial exposure to projects in Abu Dhabi or the wider UAE region is preferred.
* Strong technical report writing capabilities.
* Experience developing and delivering technical presentations.
* Proficiency in crowd modelling applications such as PTV Viswalk and Legion, together with static modelling techniques.
* Proficiency in at least one transport modelling platform and strong working knowledge of at least one additional platform such as PTV Visum, PTV Vissim, EMME, Cube, or Legion.
* Competency in junction analysis applications including Sidra and Synchro.
* Experience coordinating with clients, stakeholders, authorities, and internal project teams.
* Ability to attend in-person interviews in Abu Dhabi.
