Role Summary
Parsons Corporation is hiring a Senior BIM and CAD Specialist for urban planning projects in Dubai. This position focuses on transforming planning concepts into accurate BIM models and CAD layouts for large-scale developments. Ideal candidates will have a strong background in AutoCAD, BIM workflows, and authority compliance related to Dubai Municipality (DM), Dubai Development Authority (DDA), and urban infrastructure.

Position Overview
As a Senior BIM/CAD Specialist, you will work closely with urban planners, architects, and authority liaison teams to create layouts, land use schedules, and sign-off packages. This role requires precision, familiarity with UAE planning regulations, and the ability to translate strategic urban concepts into technical outputs.
Core Duties
* Collaborate with urban planners to convert masterplans and zoning concepts into digital BIM and CAD drawings
* Generate base maps, plot-level guidelines, development controls, and land use plans aligned with DM, DDA, and other local authorities
* Apply authority-compliant design standards for sign-off sheets and submittals
* Utilize AutoCAD and optionally MicroStation or Civil 3D for precise drafting and plan documentation
* Digitize planning inputs to prepare layouts for submission and client presentation
* Apply BIM best practices and coordinate planning data with interdisciplinary teams
* Maintain up-to-date land use schedules and ensure they align with Dubai planning regulations
* Update drawings based on client and stakeholder feedback in coordination with the urban design team
* Support QA/QC efforts to maintain digital documentation quality across planning projects
* Assist with standardization of BIM and CAD practices across urban planning documentation
Candidate Requirements
* Bachelor’s degree in Urban Planning, Architecture, Civil Engineering, or related field
* Minimum 5 years of experience in CAD or BIM for urban planning, masterplanning, or architecture
* Strong command of AutoCAD; knowledge of Civil 3D or MicroStation is a plus
* Familiar with urban planning workflows, including authority approvals and documentation formats
* Understanding of BIM standards and model coordination for planning deliverables
* Strong communication skills and ability to work with multidisciplinary teams
Preferred Qualifications
* Prior experience in Dubai-based urban planning projects or authority submissions
* Familiarity with plot-level design control, development guidelines, and planning authority processes
* Knowledge of land use policy, GIS integration, or masterplan approval workflows is an advantage
