The Guest Service Expert - Dining Service plays an important role in turning everyday food and beverage service into a polished guest experience. The position supports restaurant readiness, table service, guest communication, food and drink delivery, cleaning routines, and service flow between the dining area and kitchen. In a luxury hospitality environment, the role requires alertness, professionalism, physical stamina, and the ability to make each guest feel supported throughout the meal.
Key Responsibilities
* Arrange tables, dining areas, service stations, and supplies before and during restaurant service.
* Greet and assist guests with a courteous, confident, and professional hospitality approach.
* Serve food and beverages in line with service standards, guest preferences, and operational timing.
* Coordinate with kitchen and service colleagues to help orders move accurately and efficiently.
* Read and verify menu details when supporting guest questions, service updates, or order requirements.
* Keep work areas, restaurant spaces, equipment, and service supplies clean, organized, and safe.
* Support dining transactions and ensure service steps feel smooth and natural for guests.
* Follow workplace safety procedures, food hygiene rules, quality standards, and company policies.
* Maintain a neat uniform, professional grooming, clear communication, and positive body language during every shift.
* Remain active on the floor for extended periods, including standing, walking, bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping when needed.
* Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance and up to 50 pounds with assistance.
* Support colleagues during busy periods to protect service quality and guest satisfaction.
* Complete additional reasonable duties requested by supervisors to keep restaurant operations running effectively.
Ideal Profile
* High school diploma, G.E.D., or equivalent qualification is preferred.
* Less than 1 year of related experience in food and beverage, restaurant service, hotel service, or guest-facing hospitality.
* No previous supervisory experience is required.
* No professional license or certification is required.
* Comfortable working in a luxury hotel dining environment with regular guest contact.
* Able to work on foot for long periods across active dining and service areas.
* Strong attention to cleanliness, presentation, service timing, and guest comfort.
* Professional attitude with the ability to follow hotel standards, safety rules, and operating procedures.
* Clear communication skills and a helpful approach when interacting with guests and colleagues.
