Structural Inspector – AECOM – Dubai, UAE
Position Overview
This Structural Inspector role supports AECOM’s supervision team on a major Roads and Bridges project in Dubai. The position involves site inspections, contractor coordination, QA/QC compliance, and ensuring that all structural and associated works meet project specifications and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities
* Review project contract documents, drawings, specifications, and safety requirements
* Ensure contractor compliance with approved standards and specifications
* Maintain daily manpower and equipment records for the contractor
* Conduct site supervision and inspections as instructed by the Resident Engineer or Structural Engineer
* Follow up daily with the contractor regarding resources, safety, and site coordination
* Prepare daily reports including work orders, materials delivery, and inspection logs
* Implement all quality control and quality assurance procedures on site
* Conduct measurements and surveying checks for bridges and related structures
* Coordinate with the client project manager during inspections
* Monitor contractor QA/QC activities and maintain accurate documentation
* Assist in preparing contract-related correspondence with RE or SE guidance
* Identify site issues and support immediate resolution
* Monitor commissioning, start-up, and handover progress
* Maintain records of materials testing and completed works
* Conduct audit inspections for conformity to contract documents
Ideal Profile
* Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering
* Minimum 7 years of experience in similar structural and roads projects, with at least 3 years in the UAE
* Experience working on RTA-related roads and bridge projects preferred
* Strong understanding of site inspection, QA/QC, and construction supervision
* Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and contract documents
* Good communication and reporting skills
