Key Responsibilities

* Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to approved recipes and presentation standards.
* Welcome guests warmly and create a comfortable, engaging bar experience.
* Recommend cocktails, beverages, and local offerings based on guest preferences.
* Explain drink ingredients, preparation methods, available options, and suitable alternatives clearly.
* Monitor emerging beverage trends and contribute ideas for relevant menu offerings.
* Maintain consistent flavour, portioning, temperature, garnish, and presentation quality.
* Keep the bar clean, organized, fully stocked, and ready for service.
* Prepare garnishes, glassware, ingredients, mixers, and bar equipment before each shift.
* Monitor inventory levels and report low stock, damaged products, or supply requirements.
* Handle cash, card payments, room charges, and guest transactions accurately.
* Provide correct information about hotel facilities, services, events, and surrounding attractions.
* Build positive relationships with guests, hotel colleagues, suppliers, and community contacts.
* Anticipate guest needs and respond promptly to special requests or service concerns.
* Maintain responsible beverage service and follow applicable alcohol regulations.
* Verify guest eligibility for alcoholic beverage service when required.
* Protect company property, beverage stock, cash, equipment, and confidential information.
* Follow all safety, security, hygiene, and loss prevention procedures.
* Report accidents, injuries, maintenance concerns, and unsafe workplace conditions.
* Maintain a clean uniform and professional personal appearance throughout the shift.
* Work cooperatively with restaurant, kitchen, front office, events, and guest service teams.
* Support colleagues during busy periods to maintain efficient service.
* Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods during the working shift.
* Reach, bend, twist, pull, stoop, and perform other physical movements required behind the bar.
* Lift, carry, push, pull, or place objects weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance.
* Complete other reasonable duties assigned by supervisors.

Ideal Profile

* High school diploma, G.E.D., or an equivalent secondary education qualification.
* At least 1 year of related experience as a bartender or beverage service professional.
* Previous supervisory experience is not required.
* No professional license or certification is required.
* Practical knowledge of cocktails, spirits, wines, beers, mixers, garnishes, and non-alcoholic beverages.
* Ability to follow beverage recipes and maintain consistent serving standards.
* Strong guest engagement and interpersonal communication skills.
* Confidence recommending drinks and responding to guest preferences.
