The Commercial
Manager will take ownership of the project\'s commercial framework, ensuring that cost, contractual entitlement, revenue, cash flow, procurement commitments, claims, and change remain under disciplined control throughout delivery.
Working across a complex airport environment, the role will connect Project Management, Cost Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Planning, Engineering, Finance, Contracts, Procurement, contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and the Client. The position will be particularly important where phased construction, restricted work zones, live operational interfaces, design development, aviation requirements, and multidisciplinary package dependencies create additional cost or contractual exposure.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the project commercial function and manage the performance of the commercial team.
* Establish and implement project-specific commercial management procedures, controls, and reporting structures.
* Align commercial activities with approved budgets, contractual requirements, project objectives, and company governance.
* Provide senior commercial guidance to the Project Director and project leadership.
* Review contract conditions, scope requirements, entitlement provisions, obligations, and commercial responsibilities.
* Administer the main contract and support commercial management of key subcontract packages.
* Monitor contractual compliance and identify obligations requiring action by project teams.
* Ensure notices, submissions, responses, and commercial communications are issued within contractual timeframes.
* Interpret clauses covering payment, variations, claims, delay, disruption, acceleration, suspension, and termination.
