Role Context
The Construction Manager will oversee construction supervision activities across active site work
fronts and help ensure that all building, utility, infrastructure, and public realm works are delivered safely, efficiently, and in accordance with contract requirements. This position supports project delivery in Riyadh by keeping daily construction progress under control, resolving coordination issues with contractors and stakeholders, strengthening quality and safety performance, and helping the Project Manager maintain smooth client communication throughout the construction phase.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage the construction supervision team assigned to buildings, utilities, infrastructure, and public realm packages.
* Review daily site activities and confirm that work follows approved drawings, specifications, method statements, quality procedures, and safety requirements.
* Coordinate with contractors, the client, design teams, consultants, and project stakeholders to close technical and construction coordination issues.
* Review and provide comments on technical submittals, shop drawings, material approvals, method statements, and related construction documents.
* Monitor contractor progress against the approved construction programme and identify delays, site constraints, productivity gaps, and delivery risks.
* Recommend recovery actions and practical mitigation measures when schedule, sequencing, manpower, or coordination issues affect progress.
* Ensure construction activities are carried out in line with HSE regulations, project safety plans, and required site safety practices.
* Take part in safety walks, audits, inspections, and corrective action follow-up to promote a strong safety culture.
* Manage site inspections, approvals, testing coordination, handover procedures, snagging, and closeout documentation.
* Review contractors\' monthly progress reports, quantities, measurements, payment applications, and invoices from a site supervision viewpoint.
* Participate in progress meetings, support clear meeting minutes, track agreed action items, and follow up with responsible parties.
* Assist with construction-related change orders, claims, variations, impact assessments, and supporting site records.
* Maintain proper documentation for inspections, daily reports, approvals, nonconformance reports, site instructions, and correspondence.
* Support the Project Manager with overall project delivery, reporting, client coordination, and stakeholder communication.
* Help maintain disciplined site execution by promoting accountability, timely decisions, and consistent supervision standards.
Ideal Profile
* Bachelor\'s degree in Engineering from an accredited university.
* Typically 10 or more years of experience in construction supervision, construction management, or major project site delivery.
* At least 5 years of experience in a Construction Manager or similar leadership role.
* Strong practical exposure to buildings, utilities, infrastructure, public realm works, civil works, and multidisciplinary construction interfaces.
* Experience working with international consultants, clients, or contractors in the Middle East is preferred.
* Previous Saudi Arabia or KSA project experience is highly desirable.
* Confident reviewing drawings, specifications, shop drawings, method statements, material submissions, and contractor documentation.
* Sound understanding of HSE regulations, quality control processes, construction sequencing, site reporting, and contractor performance monitoring.
* Excellent Arabic and English verbal and written communication skills.
* Strong leadership style with the ability to guide site supervision teams, coordinate contractors, and manage multiple stakeholders.
* Able to work under pressure, prioritize urgent site matters, and make practical decisions that protect schedule, safety, and quality.
