Mace is looking for an experienced Design Management Director to join our team in Dubai, delivering project management consultancy (PMC) services across a portfolio of high-value mixed-use developments. These projects are at various stages of the development cycle, requiring leadership through planning, design, procurement, and delivery on a multi-year assignment. This role offers the opportunity to shape iconic developments and influence strategic design outcomes in the UAE construction industry.

What You’ll Do
* Lead and enforce Mace’s safety-first culture, ensuring exceptional standards in health, safety, quality, and compliance across projects.
* Manage the design management function to deliver strategic KPIs and business plan objectives.
* Implement design management systems and ensure alignment with statutory, contractual, and legal requirements.
* Drive innovation by leveraging internal networks, knowledge-sharing platforms, and best practices.
* Mentor and develop design and project teams to foster a culture of learning and professional growth.
* Manage senior client relationships and identify opportunities for new business development.
* Oversee recruitment, talent development, and succession planning for design teams.
* Influence long-term design strategies, embedding sustainability and carbon-conscious solutions into project delivery.
* Provide leadership in resolving design-related challenges during all project stages.
Ideal Profile
* Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, or related field; professional membership (RIBA, MICE, CIOB, RICS, CIAT) preferred.
* Proven experience in leading design management within mixed-use or high-end hospitality projects.
* Extensive background in consultancy and construction project delivery.
* In-depth knowledge of building regulations, health and safety legislation, and sustainable design practices.
* Strong leadership skills with experience managing large, multi-disciplinary teams.
* Ability to influence senior stakeholders and manage high-value client relationships.
* Experience in the UAE is essential for client approval.
