Position Overview
Mace is seeking an experienced Design Manager to join our team in Riyadh for one of Saudi Arabia’s most iconic and large-scale programmes. The development features major mixed-use components, including sports facilities, entertainment hubs, arts districts, and extensive infrastructure. This role involves leading design resources, ensuring compliance, and supporting strategic objectives throughout the project lifecycle.

What You’ll Do
* Manage daily design operations and act as the primary point of contact for design-related activities.
* Deliver delegated components of the annual business plan within agreed timelines and budgets.
* Present KPIs and management review data to senior leadership teams for performance analysis.
* Recommend and implement process improvements, tools, and systems to enhance design delivery.
* Lead training initiatives for design teams to maintain high professional standards.
* Oversee contractual compliance, procurement strategies, and governance requirements.
* Coordinate closely with PMO teams to ensure alignment of deliverables across multiple workstreams.
* Influence strategic planning and business development efforts through active participation.
* Ensure design management systems and roles are consistently applied throughout the project lifecycle.
* Champion sustainability objectives, ensuring carbon reduction goals are embedded into all processes.
Ideal Profile
* Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, or a related discipline.
* Relevant professional membership such as RIBA, CIOB, or equivalent.
* Proven experience managing design delivery for large-scale projects in the Middle East.
* Strong understanding of construction phases, risk management, and quality assurance.
* Ability to manage diverse stakeholder relationships and lead multidisciplinary teams.
* Previous experience working on high-value developments within a consultancy setting is essential.
* Eligibility to meet Saudi Arabia visa and client approval requirements.
