Position Overview
Parsons is recruiting a Dry Utilities Inspector - Electrical Works in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia for a public-realm Construction program in Diriyah. The development encompasses neighborhood and destination parks, landscaped open spaces, and more than 55 kilometers of urban streetscape.
The inspector will provide field assurance for electrical and dry-utility works serving the program. The position involves evaluating inspection requests, checking installations, reviewing drawings, recording progress, reporting deficiencies, and coordinating utility interfaces with other disciplines.

The Dry Utilities Inspector will verify that underground and above-ground electrical works meet approved requirements before areas are concealed or finished. Effective inspections will limit rework, protect future maintenance access, and support safe system testing and energization.
Key Responsibilities
The inspector will assess electrical dry-utility construction and maintain complete evidence of field compliance.
* Receive and respond to contractor inspection requests within required timeframes.
* Inspect electrical and dry-utility works against approved documentation.
* Assist with comparing shop drawings to contract drawings and technical specifications.
* Verify compliance with statutory requirements, local codes, and applicable standards.
* Check utility routes, duct banks, conduits, chambers, cabling, and associated equipment.
* Inspect electrical interfaces serving landscape, lighting, public-realm, and streetscape assets.
* Confirm that approved materials and installation methods are being used.
* Identify work completed outside approved drawings or specifications.
* Record non-compliant conditions and notify responsible project stakeholders.
* Monitor contractor workmanship and daily progress.
* Prepare clear inspection comments supported by field evidence.
* Maintain daily records and organized progress photographs.
* Issue surveillance reports for deficient or incomplete construction.
* Prepare non-conformance reports when required.
* Monitor contractor corrections and verify satisfactory closeout.
* Coordinate electrical works with civil, roads, landscape, utilities, drainage, and structural disciplines.
* Identify clashes, access restrictions, or incomplete interface arrangements.
* Provide practical technical input to help resolve electrical site issues.
* Confirm contractor compliance with approved method statements and contract requirements.

Ideal Profile
The preferred candidate is an electrical engineer with practical landscape or public-realm experience and strong construction-inspection skills.
* Degree in Electrical Engineering.
* Minimum seven years of directly related professional experience.
* Experience supporting landscape, public-realm, streetscape, or infrastructure works.
* Knowledge of electrical distribution and dry-utility installation practices.
* Ability to interpret electrical layouts, shop drawings, and contract details.
* Familiarity with duct banks, conduits, chambers, cables, and utility corridors.
* Understanding of inspection requests and quality-control procedures.
* Ability to identify defective or non-compliant electrical work.
