Role Context
The Fire Alarm Technician supports the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of fire alarm and life safety systems across commercial and residential sites. This position works under the supervision of senior technicians to ensure fire safety systems remain fully operational, compliant, and reliable while developing practical field experience and technical expertise.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in preventive and corrective maintenance of fire alarm systems, emergency exit systems, and related safety equipment.
Support senior technicians during service calls, fault rectification, and troubleshooting activities.
Participate in planned preventive maintenance activities according to approved maintenance schedules.
Assist with installation, testing, and commissioning of new fire alarm systems and safety devices.
Ensure proper handling of tools, testing equipment, and technical materials on-site.
Follow all workplace safety procedures and maintain compliance with fire safety standards.
Help maintain accurate service reports, maintenance records, and job documentation.
Support inspections and testing activities to ensure fire alarm systems function correctly.
Learn technical procedures and improve system knowledge under the guidance of experienced technicians.
Maintain site cleanliness and ensure equipment is safely stored after work completion.
Respond to urgent maintenance requirements and support emergency repair work when required.
Ideal Profile
ITI or Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, or a related technical field is required.
Freshers and candidates with 0-2 years of experience are welcome to apply.
Basic knowledge of electrical and electronic systems is essential.
Strong interest in fire alarm, emergency exit, and life safety systems is preferred.
