The Logistics Manager will provide
integrated control of construction logistics across a complex airport environment where materials, vehicles, contractors, equipment, temporary routes, and operational constraints must be carefully coordinated. The role will balance project delivery needs with the requirement to protect airport operations, passenger movement, security, and access continuity.
The position will serve as a central coordination point between construction teams, contractors, consultants, airport stakeholders, utility providers, government authorities, and project controls. Effective logistics planning will directly influence site productivity, sequencing, safety, schedule reliability, and the ability of multiple work packages to progress without conflict.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead development and implementation of Construction Logistics Plans, Material Delivery Plans, and site logistics strategies.
* Establish procedures for material handling, transportation, storage, distribution, staging, and controlled site access.
* Align logistics activities with construction schedules, airport operational constraints, and stakeholder requirements.
* Monitor logistics performance and identify improvements that reduce congestion, delay, and inefficient material movement.
* Develop and manage Traffic Management Plans covering both airside and landside construction activities.
* Coordinate construction traffic, haul routes, temporary diversions, access roads, delivery windows, and vehicle movement plans.
* Review contractor traffic management proposals and logistics methodologies before implementation.
* Coordinate road closures, temporary access arrangements, traffic controls, and diversions with relevant stakeholders and authorities.
* Ensure construction traffic movements do not compromise airport operational continuity or public safety.
* Oversee day-to-day logistics operations across active project areas.
* Manage laydown areas, staging zones, logistics compounds, storage locations, and material holding areas.
* Coordinate crane operations, heavy lifting, abnormal loads, plant movements, and specialist deliveries.
* Monitor contractor adherence to approved logistics plans, access rules, and site procedures.
* Support construction phasing and sequencing by ensuring work fronts have appropriate access, materials, and logistics support.
* Coordinate interfaces between multiple contractors, packages, and shared construction zones.
* Serve as the principal logistics coordination point between contractors, consultants, airport authorities, utilities, and government agencies.
* Lead logistics coordination meetings and multidisciplinary planning workshops.
* Resolve access conflicts, delivery constraints, route conflicts, and competing logistics requirements across work packages.

* Maintain accurate records of logistics plans, permits, inspections, approvals, deliveries, and stakeholder coordination.

The position requires a bachelor\'s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Logistics Management, Supply Chain Management, or another relevant discipline. A master\'s degree would be advantageous.
Candidates should have at least 15 years of experience in logistics management, construction logistics, traffic management, or related project delivery functions.
Strong experience on major airports, aviation programs, transportation projects, rail, metro, or large-scale infrastructure developments is highly desirable. Previous work within a live operational airport environment will be particularly valuable.
