Key Responsibilities
* Expedite purchase orders to ensure timely manufacturing, dispatch, and delivery of civil construction materials
* Follow up with suppliers on production schedules, delivery timelines, and logistics coordination
* Coordinate with procurement teams on PO status, variations, and delivery priorities
* Track material movement and resolve delays, shortages, or discrepancies
* Review and verify material submittals, technical datasheets, and compliance documentation
* Ensure materials conform to approved drawings, BOQs, project specifications, and authority requirements
* Coordinate with consultants for material approvals, inspections, and mock-ups
* Monitor sample approvals, test reports, and material certifications
* Liaise with site engineers, planning teams, and project managers to align deliveries with construction schedules
* Support site teams during material inspections, approvals, and handovers
* Address site queries related to material quality, alternatives, and technical clarifications
* Maintain detailed records of material approvals, delivery logs, submittals, and vendor correspondence
* Prepare material tracking reports and expediting status updates
* Ensure compliance with company quality, procurement, and audit standards
Ideal Profile
* Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
* 5–10 years of experience in material engineering, procurement expediting, or site coordination
* Strong exposure to civil construction materials including concrete, steel, formwork, finishing materials, and waterproofing systems
* Experience working with developers, main contractors, or PMC consultants
* UAE or GCC project experience preferred
* Ability to interpret drawings, BOQs, and technical specifications
* Familiarity with ERP and document control systems such as SAP, Oracle, Aconex, or Procore
* Detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of working in fast-track project environments
