Role Context
The Hostess is one of the first and
last people guests interact with during their dining experience. The role sets the tone from arrival by offering a professional welcome, managing waiting times, organizing the seating flow, and ensuring guests are guided comfortably to their tables. Strong coordination with the restaurant team helps maintain an elegant service rhythm while supporting the high standards expected in a luxury resort and premium dining venue.
Key Responsibilities
* Welcome guests promptly and professionally upon arrival at Nobu by the Beach.
* Create a positive first impression through warm, natural, and attentive guest interaction.
* Manage the restaurant waiting list and provide guests with clear information regarding expected wait times.
* Coordinate table availability and seating flow with the restaurant service team.
* Escort guests to their tables and ensure they are comfortably seated.
* Maintain awareness of reservations, walk-in guests, and changing table availability.
* Communicate effectively with colleagues to support smooth front-of-house operations.
* Handle guest questions and basic requests with confidence and courtesy.
* Use strong interpersonal skills to build natural rapport with local and international guests.
* Maintain a calm and polished approach during busy dining periods.
* Support efficient guest movement within the restaurant entrance and reception area.
* Monitor waiting guests and provide timely updates where required.
* Assist in maintaining an organized and welcoming reception environment.
* Coordinate closely with service colleagues when special seating or guest requirements need attention.
* Bid guests farewell in a warm and professional manner as they leave the restaurant.
* Contribute to a positive team environment by supporting colleagues during peak service periods.
* Maintain service standards consistent with a luxury hotel and high-end restaurant environment.

* Previous international exposure in a similar hostess or restaurant guest service role is desirable.
* Around 2 years of experience within a luxury hotel or high-end restaurant environment is preferred.

* Strong customer service awareness with attention to guest comfort and expectations.
