Role Context

The Risk and Reporting Manager will connect project uncertainty with management decision-making by establishing structured risk processes and translating programme, cost, quality, HSE, and performance data into clear executive information. The position combines qualitative and quantitative risk management with automated reporting, variance analysis, contingency assessment, and stakeholder communication. By maintaining an integrated risk and reporting function, the manager will help leadership identify emerging exposure early, allocate contingency more effectively, protect schedule float, and respond to adverse trends before they materially affect project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement the project risk management strategy, framework, procedures, and governance requirements.

Establish and maintain comprehensive risk registers covering cost, schedule, technical, construction, commercial, interface, and delivery risks.

Facilitate risk identification, assessment, mitigation, monitoring, escalation, and closure across project teams.

Coordinate with Project Managers, Engineers, Contractors, Planners, Cost Control teams, and other stakeholders to maintain consistent risk management objectives.

Conduct regular risk reviews and ensure mitigation actions remain current, practical, and assigned to accountable owners.

Perform Quantitative Schedule Risk Analysis and Quantitative Cost Risk Analysis using recognized risk modelling methods and software.

Run Monte Carlo simulations and sensitivity analyses to identify key risk drivers and probability distributions.

Produce P50 and P80 schedule and cost outputs to support contingency planning, schedule float management, and management decision-making.

Use Primavera Risk Analysis, Safran, (at)RISK, or equivalent tools to evaluate project uncertainty.

Analyze the interaction between identified risks, schedule logic, project costs, contingency, trends, and change events.

Coordinate with Planning teams to ensure schedule risks are reflected in project forecasts and critical path assessments.

Work with Cost Control teams to align contingency requirements, cost exposure, trends, and change management with the current risk position.

Prepare detailed risk assessments, mitigation plans, exposure summaries, and executive-level recommendations.

Monitor risk trends and provide early warning where emerging threats could affect cost, schedule, scope, quality, safety, or contractual performance.

Develop the monthly Project Progress Report by integrating schedule, cost, HSE, quality, risk, and delivery information.

Prepare Client dashboards, management reports, Steering Committee packs, and executive presentations.

Establish clear reporting calendars, responsibilities, data requirements, validation processes, and submission deadlines.

Define and monitor project KPIs covering programme, cost, risk, quality, HSE, and overall performance.

Apply Earned Value Management principles to evaluate project performance and identify emerging variances.

Review Schedule Performance Index, Cost Performance Index, progress trends, and related performance indicators where applicable.

Investigate material variances and develop clear explanations, forecasts, and recommended mitigation measures.

Build and maintain automated reporting solutions using Power BI, Microsoft Excel, Primavera P6 exports, and other approved tools.

Reduce manual reporting effort by improving data integration, validation, visualization, and recurring report production.

Ensure dashboards and management reports present consistent data from approved project sources.

Establish a single, trusted reporting structure that avoids conflicting project performance information.

Prepare trend analysis showing movement in risk exposure, schedule performance, cost position, contingency, and key project indicators.

Support senior management and Client stakeholders by translating complex analytical results into concise decision-ready information.

Maintain accurate project risk documentation, assumptions, analysis outputs, risk review records, and supporting evidence.

Ensure risk and reporting activities comply with project procedures, contractual obligations, applicable standards, and recognized industry practices.

Provide training and practical guidance to project teams on risk identification, mitigation planning, quantitative analysis, and reporting requirements.

Promote stronger risk ownership across technical, commercial, planning, and construction teams.

Support project audits and governance reviews with risk registers, analysis outputs, reports, and supporting documentation.

Provide risk and reporting input to change control, claims, recovery planning, and project forecasting.

Monitor risks associated with underpasses, tunnels, bridges, highways, grade separation, and construction interfaces in dense urban environments.

Assess risks related to traffic management, access, utilities, temporary works, construction sequencing, logistics, and stakeholder interfaces.

Coordinate with PMCM and Client teams to ensure risk reporting reflects current field conditions and project decisions.

Identify opportunities to improve project controls, risk analytics, dashboard reporting, and management visibility.

Ideal Profile

The position requires a Bachelor\'s Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Project Management, or a related discipline.

Candidates should have at least 12 years of overall professional experience, including a minimum of 5 years in a dedicated risk management, project reporting, or closely related project controls role on major infrastructure developments.

A proven background managing risk on large-scale construction projects is essential. Experience involving underpasses, tunnels, bridges, highways, grade-separation works, or similarly complex infrastructure in dense urban environments is particularly valuable.

The successful candidate should demonstrate strong knowledge of qualitative and quantitative risk management, Monte Carlo simulation, sensitivity analysis, Earned Value Management, contingency management, and integrated project reporting.

Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6, Primavera Risk Analysis, Power BI, RiskWatch, ARM, Microsoft Project, or equivalent platforms is expected. Experience with Safran and (at)RISK is also highly relevant.

Strong written English and the ability to communicate complex risk and performance information clearly to senior Client stakeholders are essential.

PMP certification is preferred, while PMI-RMP or another recognized risk management qualification would provide a significant advantage. A Master\'s Degree in Construction Management, Project Management, or a related discipline is desirable.
