Senior BIM and GIS Engineer – AECOM – Dubai, UAE
Position Overview
This role supports major infrastructure and utilities projects by producing, reviewing and maintaining high-accuracy BIM, GIS, CAD and as-built drawings. The position ensures full compliance with authority standards while coordinating closely with engineering, construction and inspection teams across Dubai’s stormwater, sewerage, irrigation and microtunneling works.

Key Responsibilities
* Prepare and revise technical drawings, layouts and as-built documentation using MicroStation and AutoCAD
* Translate engineer inputs into precise and coordinated construction drawings
* Maintain drawings in line with RTA, DM, DEWA and AECOM standards
* Track and verify sewerage, stormwater and irrigation networks using as-built DS, IRR and Roads project records
* Conduct site surveys and coordinate with inspectors for field verification and progress tracking
* Prepare redline markups, profiles, sections and microtunneling shaft layouts
* Maintain a structured archive of all drawings and revisions
* Review contractor as-built and shop drawings for compliance with site conditions
* Support construction teams with drawing updates reflecting approved changes
* Prepare utility coordination drawings to avoid service conflicts
* Ensure CAD deliverables follow all required authority standards and project specifications
Ideal Profile
* Bachelor’s degree in Geography, Civil & Survey Engineering, Geomatics Engineering or related field
* Minimum 10 years of experience in BIM and GIS engineering roles
* Strong proficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D, Autodesk MAP, Bentley MicroStation and Infraworks
* Competent in ArcGIS, QGIS, AutoCAD, Revit and Navisworks
* Strong coordination skills with engineering and site teams
* Solid understanding of Dubai authority requirements for infrastructure projects
