Position Overview
Parsons is seeking a Senior BIM-CAD Engineer to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, supporting digital engineering delivery for a major airport, infrastructure, and airfield development project. The role will lead BIM coordination, CAD standards, model federation, clash detection, digital engineering workflows, and multidisciplinary design integration across complex airport assets. Working within the Delivery Partner environment, the Senior BIM-CAD Engineer will coordinate digital information across architecture, civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, ICT, airfield systems, AGL, utilities, roads, pavements, and specialist airport systems from design through construction and asset handover.

What You\'ll Be Doing
- Lead BIM coordination activities across the airport development program.
- Establish and maintain BIM workflows, standards, procedures, and multidisciplinary coordination requirements.
- Support implementation of the Project BIM Execution Plan and Digital Delivery Strategy.
- Provide technical guidance to BIM engineers, CAD technicians, consultants, and contractors.
- Ensure BIM deliverables meet project objectives, client requirements, and applicable digital delivery standards.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary BIM models covering civil infrastructure, structural systems, architecture, mechanical and electrical systems, ICT and ELV systems, utilities, drainage, airfield infrastructure, AGL, and specialist airport systems.
- Perform model federation, clash detection, and interface coordination.
- Identify spatial conflicts and coordinate their resolution between engineering disciplines.
- Use BIM coordination to support design optimization and reduce multidisciplinary interface issues.
- Review BIM models, CAD drawings, and digital engineering deliverables against project requirements.
Model Quality and Information Management
The Senior BIM-CAD Engineer will maintain the quality and consistency of project models and digital engineering information. This includes checking Level of Development, Level of Information, naming conventions, coordinates, model parameters, and data consistency.
The role will monitor consultant and contractor BIM submissions and ensure alignment with Common Data Environment workflows and document control requirements. Digital information must remain structured, traceable, and suitable for design coordination, construction, commissioning, and eventual handover.
Airport and Airfield BIM Coordination
Provide BIM coordination across major airport assets, including:
- Passenger terminals and concourses.
- Cargo facilities.
- Runways and taxiways.
- Aircraft parking stands and aprons.
- Airport roads and supporting infrastructure.
- Utility corridors and drainage networks.
- Operational and maintenance facilities.
- Airfield Ground Lighting systems.
- Airport specialist systems.
The position will support integration of engineering systems within complex airport environments and coordinate digital interfaces between airside and landside infrastructure.
CAD Standards and Engineering Documentation
- Manage CAD standards, templates, workflows, and drawing production requirements.
- Review engineering drawings for compliance with project CAD standards.
- Maintain consistency across drawings, layouts, references, and technical documentation.
- Support engineering teams with drafting requirements and technical visualization.
- Maintain accurate digital records of engineering updates and design revisions.
Construction and Digital Delivery Support
Provide BIM support throughout construction, installation, testing, commissioning, and handover. Review contractor BIM submissions, shop drawings, as-built models, and other digital deliverables for compliance with project requirements.
Support construction teams in resolving field coordination issues and contribute to BIM-based progress monitoring and construction sequencing activities. Assist with verification of installed works against approved digital models where required.
Asset Information and Handover

Reporting and Continuous Improvement
- Prepare BIM coordination reports, clash detection reports, model review comments, and progress updates.
- Maintain records of BIM issues, resolutions, and coordination decisions.
- Monitor BIM performance and identify opportunities for process improvement.
- Support implementation of digital engineering innovations and applicable best practices.
