Role Context
The Senior Health and
Key Responsibilities
* Assist the project or programme manager with the administration of safety, health, and environmental programmes on site.
* Audit project worksites against corporate SH&E standards, project procedures, and applicable safety requirements.
* Inspect construction areas to detect hazards, unsafe acts, unsafe conditions, and work practices requiring improvement.
* Provide practical safety guidance to project personnel, supervisors, and contractors to eliminate or control risks linked to site hazards.
* Prepare and submit written audit reports, inspection reports, safety observations, and follow-up documentation.
* Monitor project work planning and field performance to confirm that activities align with Parsons Environmental, Safety, Health, and Risk Program requirements.
* Verify that work performance follows approved safety procedures, site controls, risk assessments, and safe work practices.
* Support implementation of Parsons occupational injury and incident reporting and management processes.
* Assist with incident reporting, initial investigation support, evidence collection, corrective action tracking, and safety record updates.
* Perform trend analysis on audit findings, inspection findings, incident reports, recurring hazards, and safety observations.
* Prepare regular safety analysis reports highlighting trends, risk areas, corrective actions, and improvement opportunities.
* Assist with new hire orientation by supporting safety induction activities and communicating site safety expectations.
* Deliver or support regulatory and best practice SH&E training for project employees, contractors, and site personnel.
* Create, maintain, and update SH&E training records, attendance logs, safety briefing records, and compliance documentation.
* Participate in routine safe work briefings, toolbox talks, pre-task discussions, and site safety coordination activities.
* Support supervisors and field teams in understanding safe work requirements before high-risk activities begin.
* Follow up on open inspection findings, audit actions, safety observations, and corrective measures until closure is verified.
* Promote a proactive safety culture through visible field presence, constructive intervention, and clear communication.
* Escalate serious hazards, repeated non-compliances, or immediate danger situations to senior safety and project personnel.
* Support safe delivery of landscape, streetscape, civil, public realm, access, and site coordination activities across the programme.
Ideal Profile
* Saudi National candidate.
* Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety and Health or a related field.
* Equivalent relevant safety experience may be considered.
* Minimum 5 years of related work experience in health and safety, preferably within construction, infrastructure, public realm, civil works, or site supervision environments.
* Certified Safety Professional credential or OSHA 30-Hour Construction training or license is required.
* Strong understanding of construction site hazards, safety inspections, audit processes, incident reporting, and corrective action follow-up.
* Practical knowledge of occupational safety requirements, worksite controls, safe work briefings, and contractor safety expectations.
* Ability to identify hazards related to public realm construction, streetscape works, civil activities, site access, equipment movement, and general construction operations.
* Good report writing skills with the ability to document inspection findings, audit observations, trends, and corrective actions clearly.
* Able to communicate safety requirements effectively with workers, supervisors, contractors, project staff, and management teams.
* Strong attention to detail with the ability to monitor work planning and field performance against safety standards.
* Able to support safety training, new hire orientation, toolbox talks, and site awareness activities.
* Professional, observant, and confident when challenging unsafe practices constructively.
* Organized approach to safety records, inspection logs, training documentation, and trend analysis.
