Role Context
The Senior Mechanical Engineer - MEP Systems will support the technical delivery of mechanical systems across complex
Key Responsibilities
* Review mechanical engineering drawings, calculations, specifications, shop drawings, and technical documents for project compliance.
* Evaluate HVAC, plumbing, drainage, fire protection, and building management system designs against approved standards and project requirements.
* Conduct site inspections to verify that mechanical works are installed according to approved drawings, specifications, and quality expectations.
* Monitor contractor performance and highlight technical issues, deviations, or construction risks that require corrective action.
* Coordinate with architectural, civil, structural, and electrical teams to resolve design interfaces, service routes, space constraints, and technical conflicts.
* Review contractor material submittals, method statements, requests for information, and technical proposals.
* Support the evaluation of mechanical equipment, system layouts, and installation methods before site execution.
* Participate in testing, commissioning, inspection, and handover activities for mechanical systems and related equipment.
* Assist project management teams with progress updates, milestone tracking, technical reports, and site coordination records.
* Liaise with clients, local utility authorities, consultants, and contractors when mechanical engineering input is required.
* Apply Saudi Building Code requirements, ASHRAE standards, NFPA guidance, ASPE practices, and relevant international codes.
* Promote safe working practices, technical accuracy, and quality-focused construction delivery across assigned work areas.
Ideal Profile
* Bachelor\'s degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university.
* Registration with the Saudi Council of Engineers is mandatory.
* Minimum 5 years of professional mechanical engineering experience.
* Experience in design review, construction supervision, or technical site coordination for infrastructure or building projects.
* Strong understanding of HVAC, plumbing, drainage, fire protection, and building management systems.
* Good knowledge of Saudi Building Code requirements and international standards such as ASHRAE, NFPA, and ASPE.
* Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit BIM, HVAC load calculation software, and technical engineering documentation.
* Ability to review shop drawings, material submittals, RFIs, method statements, and contractor technical submissions.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Arabic.
* Confident in explaining technical matters clearly to site teams, consultants, clients, and project stakeholders.
* Proactive, collaborative, detail-focused, and willing to grow within a fast-paced mega project environment in Tabuk.
