Role Context
The Site Engineer will provide technical and operational
support across active construction areas, ensuring resources, equipment, materials, manpower, quality requirements, and safety controls are properly coordinated. The position requires continuous site presence and practical problem-solving to keep activities progressing according to drawings, specifications, approved methods, and planned timelines.
Key Responsibilities
* Organize construction materials and maintain orderly, safe, and efficient work areas.
* Confirm that required tools, materials, equipment, and machinery are available before scheduled activities begin.
* Provide technical guidance to supervisors, foremen, subcontractors, and site personnel during execution.
* Review construction challenges and recommend practical improvements that support productivity and buildability.
* Coordinate with plant and workshop teams regarding machinery, equipment availability, maintenance requirements, and site deployment.
* Follow up with suppliers to ensure materials are delivered in accordance with construction priorities and agreed schedules.
* Monitor daily site activities and verify compliance with approved drawings, specifications, construction methods, and project requirements.
* Prepare clear daily and weekly progress reports for project management.
* Attend coordination meetings with consultants, subcontractors, and relevant project stakeholders.
* Work closely with the safety team to ensure construction activities comply with established site safety requirements.
* Study civil, structural, architectural, and related construction drawings before starting assigned activities.
* Develop practical activity timelines and discuss sequencing and priorities with project management.
* Inspect completed works and identify workmanship or technical issues requiring correction.
* Maintain close control over construction quality and ensure deficiencies are rectified before inspection or handover.
* Coordinate interfaces between subcontractors to minimize delays, clashes, and disruption to ongoing activities.
* Track site progress and highlight material shortages, technical issues, equipment constraints, or other risks that could affect completion targets.
* Support consultant inspections and ensure work fronts are properly prepared before submission.
* Maintain accurate records of completed activities, outstanding works, and upcoming site requirements.
Ideal Profile
Bachelor\'s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction, or a closely related discipline.
Between 4 and 9 years of experience working as a Site Engineer within construction or contracting environments.
Practical experience supervising building construction activities and coordinating daily execution across multiple work fronts.
UAE or wider GCC construction experience is preferred.
Strong ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, technical details, and project requirements.
Candidates should understand construction materials, workmanship standards, site safety requirements, equipment coordination, and quality control procedures.
