The Structural Inspector
The position requires disciplined field assessment combined with clear technical reporting. Key Responsibilities
* Inspect structural construction activities at foundation, framing, intermediate, and completion stages.
* Compare executed works with approved structural drawings, specifications, and applicable technical requirements.
* Confirm compliance with UAE building codes and relevant international construction standards.
* Examine structural components for visible defects, dimensional inconsistencies, and departures from approved plans.
* Assess construction methods to determine whether they meet required quality and engineering expectations.
* Verify the quality of materials incorporated into structural works.
* Review workmanship against established project acceptance criteria.
* Carry out site measurements and physical checks using suitable inspection equipment.
* Identify structural deficiencies before affected work progresses to subsequent construction stages.

Ideal Profile
Candidates should have a diploma or degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a closely related discipline together with at least eight years of professional experience in structural inspection, construction quality assurance, or similar building project responsibilities.
Strong practical experience conducting site inspections and structural assessments is essential. Applicants should understand how structural works progress through foundation, framing, and later construction stages and be able to recognize deficiencies that may affect quality, compliance, or safety.
The role requires confidence in reading technical documentation, recording field findings, and preparing professional inspection reports that can support project decisions and corrective actions.
Familiarity with construction management software, digital reporting tools, and commonly used inspection equipment will be valuable. Knowledge of construction project management processes is also preferred because inspection activities must be coordinated with programme priorities and wider project controls.
