Job Summary: Collect recycling and general waste material safely and efficiently at designated locations, within a set timeframe.Responsibilities: Loading and unloading goods from vehiclesKeeping the vehicle safe and cleanRefuel and clean vehiclesUsing navigation apps to determine the best routeMap out driving routes ahead of time to determine the most expedient tripPerforming daily equipment checksRemoving machine attachments and waste material from machinesInspect trucks and complete daily vehicle checklist before departing the yard and notify controllers of any issues / defectsDrives safely and follow all laws and rules of driving, to maintain a safe and healthy work environmentAssist runners by loading and off-loading material at collection pointsCount all bags loaded on vehicleCollect, maintain and organize all paperwork and deliver it to the proper personnel at the end of each collectionReport and document any accidents or vehicles issues to supervisorAdhere to all reasonable instructions given by supervisors or team leadersAdhere to OHS ACT legislationAdhere to site regulationsKeep drivers license up to dateAssist with all adhoc requests from clientAssist with any administrative duties when requiredAssist with sorting and other general duties if requiredRequirements:Matric / Grade 12 or equivalent qualificationMinimum 1 - 2 years working experience in a similar roleMust have a valid Code 10 or Code 14 drivers license and a valid PDPRelevant qualifications and experience, knowledge and skillsClean driving record and valid PDPEmployment will be implemented in accordance with the Employment Equity Act.
