Responsibilities:
Receive and prioritize requests for [deliveries, services, technicians, etc.] based on urgency and importance.
Analyze real-time data (traffic, weather, etc.) to determine optimal routes and schedules.
Assign tasks and dispatch drivers, crews, or field personnel to the appropriate locations.
Monitor the progress of dispatched units and provide updates to clients as needed.
Track inventory levels and ensure resources are available to meet dispatch needs.
Maintain clear and concise communication with drivers, crews, and other staff to ensure efficient coordination.
Troubleshoot any issues that arise during deliveries or service calls.
Prepare and maintain accurate dispatch logs and documentation.
May use specialized dispatch software (if applicable).
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum 1 year of experience in a dispatching role (or related logistics experience).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively under pressure.
Proficient in map reading and route planning.
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines simultaneously.
Excellent time management and organizational skills.
