Position Overview
Aldar Education is seeking an outstanding Foundation Stage Arabic Teacher for maternity cover at Yasmina British Academy in Abu Dhabi commencing in August 2026. The successful candidate will deliver engaging Arabic lessons that inspire young learners and support strong academic, social and personal development.
The role requires substantial teaching experience, strong curriculum knowledge and the ability to create an inclusive learning environment for pupils across the ability range. Candidates should understand Emirati culture and support the educational objectives of the UAE Ministry of Education.

Role Context

The Foundation Stage Arabic Teacher will provide temporary maternity cover and take responsibility for lesson planning, classroom learning, assessment and student progress. The position also involves curriculum collaboration, parent communication and participation in wider school activities.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging Arabic lessons for Foundation Stage pupils.
Inspire young learners to achieve the best possible outcomes.
Ensure teaching meets relevant curriculum requirements.
Prepare learning activities suitable for pupils across the full ability range.
Differentiate instruction according to individual learning needs.
Create an inclusive and stimulating early-learning environment.
Organise classroom resources and displays that encourage participation.
Motivate pupils through enthusiastic and imaginative teaching.
Develop children’s early Arabic-language knowledge and communication abilities.
Take responsibility for the progress and attainment of assigned classes.
Observe and assess pupils according to school requirements.
Record student development using Target Tracker or other approved systems.
Use assessment data to improve planning, provision and intervention.
Identify learning needs and implement suitable classroom support.
Reflect on lesson effectiveness and adjust planning when required.
Work collaboratively with teachers to plan engaging learning experiences.
Liaise flexibly and professionally with colleagues across the academy.
Cooperate with curriculum-support staff to strengthen child development.
Work with speech therapists, occupational therapists and educational psychologists when required.
Embed the academy’s Teacher and Learner values throughout the curriculum.
Develop positive relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues.
Provide parents and carers with clear feedback on student progress.
Participate in parent-teacher conferences and other family meetings.
Use CPOMS and other approved school systems appropriately.
Follow the academy’s behaviour-management policy.
Manage classes using approaches suited to young pupils’ needs.
Maintain high expectations for behaviour, independence and self-control.
Model the positive attitudes, values and conduct expected from students.
Participate in curriculum action groups and team initiatives.
Support curriculum planning, assessment, resources and special events.
Contribute to school events, outings and community activities.
Attend occasional activities held during evenings or weekends.
Lead one weekly extracurricular activity during each term.
Maintain strong safeguarding and child-protection practices.
Complete professional duties in accordance with academy policies.
Ideal Profile
Bachelor’s degree in Arabic, Education or a related subject.
PGCE or another recognised teaching qualification.
Master’s degree in Arabic Language or Education is preferred.
Minimum five years of relevant teaching experience.
Leadership experience within an educational setting is desirable.
Proven record of outstanding classroom teaching.
Experience improving teaching quality and student learning outcomes.
Strong understanding of MOE curriculum standards.
Knowledge of research-based teaching practices.
Understanding of Islamic Studies, Social Studies and Emirati culture.
Commitment to UAE Ministry of Education and international educational objectives.
Experience teaching successfully across different year groups.
Ability to work under pressure and solve problems effectively.
