Position Overview
Aldar Education is seeking an outstanding Assistant Principal to join Rabdan Charter School in Abu Dhabi for the 2026/27 academic year. The successful candidate will provide academic and operational leadership while supporting high standards of teaching, student achievement, staff performance and school improvement.
Working closely with the Principal, Vice Principal and Senior Leadership Team, the Assistant Principal will oversee assessment systems, analyse performance data and implement initiatives aligned with the school development plan, ADEK regulations and Aldar Education requirements.

The Assistant Principal will help create a safe, orderly and achievement-focused environment. The role combines instructional leadership, assessment management, staff development, teacher evaluation and data-led school improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Direct and quality-assure the activities of staff and students.
Maintain a safe, orderly and effective environment that supports learning.
Support the annual school assessment and monitoring master schedule.
Coordinate assessment activities with the Senior Leadership Team and department leaders.
Collaborate with the Principal and Vice Principal to supervise teachers and support staff.
Evaluate teachers, supervisors and curriculum-support employees as assigned.
Provide constructive feedback that improves teaching quality and staff performance.
Participate in screening, interviewing and recommending teaching and non-teaching applicants.
Implement student-achievement initiatives identified in the school development plan.
Ensure improvement activities align with ADEK regulations and Aldar Education requirements.
Support school improvement planning, standardised testing and student remediation.
Lead processes for collecting, analysing and reporting student-performance data.
Develop specialised assessment schedules and testing procedures when required.
Direct the MAP and Exact Path student-achievement improvement plan.
Coordinate progress-based testing schedules with the assessment team.
Oversee systems for measuring and reporting student attainment and progress.
Maintain effective processes for student records, data collection and archiving.
Use assessment evidence to identify learning gaps and implement suitable interventions.
Evaluate the impact of academic interventions on student outcomes.
Collaborate with the Senior Leadership Team on instructional methods and strategies.
Support the introduction of effective teaching materials, programmes and initiatives.
Identify staff-development priorities based on school and student needs.
Develop and implement continuing professional development plans for employees.
Promote professional growth and improve the quality and efficiency of teaching.
Ensure required reports, forms and data submissions are completed accurately and on time.
Work collaboratively with administrators, teachers and support staff.
Build effective relationships with parents and relevant external agencies.
Handle confidential student, employee and school information appropriately.
Complete other duties assigned by the School Principal.
Ideal Profile
Bachelor’s degree in Education or a Bachelor of Science with a PGCE.
Master’s degree in Education or a related discipline is desirable.
At least six years of relevant education experience.
Four consecutive years of teaching performance exceeding required standards and expectations.
Minimum two years of experience in a middle-leadership position.
Proven success in leading initiatives that improved educational standards and achievement.
Experience working effectively with parents and external agencies.
Strong knowledge of teaching, learning and school-improvement practices.
Track record of implementing strategies that raise standards and address learning gaps.
Ability to use data to diagnose needs, plan interventions and evaluate educational impact.
Sound professional judgement and ability to manage confidential information.
Genuine understanding and appreciation of the culture and values of the UAE.
