Key Responsibilities
* Lead behaviour, attendance, punctuality, and student welfare systems across the school.
* Review, update, and embed behaviour-related policies to ensure consistency, fairness, and high expectations.
* Lead key stage transitions, student leadership initiatives, and student voice development.
* Serve as Child Protection Officer and ensure safeguarding procedures are understood and followed across the school.
* Work closely with the Head of Inclusion, Inclusion team, School Counsellor, and Aldar Education Inclusion network groups.
* Oversee CA provision and support the delivery of relevant training programmes.
* Liaise with parents, staff, external agencies, and other stakeholders to protect student welfare and wellbeing.
* Model outstanding teaching and learning while supporting personalised learning strategies.
* Lead professional development sessions linked to teaching quality, learning standards, and pupil engagement.
* Support Heads of Department in monitoring teaching and learning performance.
* Help create staff support plans where rapid improvement is required.
* Contribute as a member of the Senior Leadership Team and assist the Principal in shaping school direction.
* Monitor policy implementation and present clear performance updates to governors, parents, and school stakeholders.
* Manage allocated budgets responsibly and participate in duty rotas where required.
* Promote teamwork, staff motivation, and effective working relationships across the school.
Ideal Profile
* Bachelor Degree in Education or B.Sc degree with PGCE is essential.
* Master’s degree is desirable.
* Minimum 6 years of education experience, including at least 4 consecutive years with teaching performance exceeding standards and expectations.
* Minimum 2 years of experience in a middle leadership role.
* Proven experience leading school initiatives that improved standards, achievement, behaviour, or teaching quality.
* Experience working with parents, external agencies, and wider school stakeholders.
* Strong understanding of safeguarding, child protection procedures, inclusion, behaviour management, and student wellbeing.
* Able to use data effectively to diagnose needs, plan intervention, and evaluate learning impact.
* Highly organised and able to manage multiple tasks while maintaining sound professional judgement.
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to handle confidential information appropriately.
* Confident communicator who can support staff, engage students, and contribute to strategic school development.
