Role Context
The Director of Inclusion will lead a whole-school vision for inclusive excellence across a technology-rich learning environment that integrates AI, robotics, personalised learning, and advanced teaching practices. The position focuses on developing strong inclusion systems, improving outcomes for diverse learners, supporting multilingual students, guiding staff practice, and ensuring compliance through data-led improvement, parent partnerships, and effective leadership of the Inclusion team.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the whole-school inclusion strategy and ensure inclusive excellence is embedded across teaching, learning, wellbeing, and school culture.
* Oversee high-quality provision for students with diverse learning needs, multilingual learners, and students requiring personalised support.
* Drive the planning, implementation, and review of Individualised Education Plans and English Language Learner provision.
* Build, lead, and develop a strong Inclusion team with clear expectations, effective deployment, and measurable impact.
* Work closely with senior leaders, teachers, specialists, and support staff to strengthen inclusive classroom practice.
* Use student data, assessment evidence, and intervention tracking to monitor progress and improve outcomes for diverse learners.
* Promote personalised learning approaches supported by innovation, technology, research-informed practice, and student-centered planning.
* Champion student wellbeing, belonging, equity, and access across all phases of the school.
* Strengthen partnerships with parents through clear communication, guidance, and collaborative planning.
* Ensure inclusion provision meets regulatory expectations, school standards, inspection requirements, and safeguarding responsibilities.
* Lead professional development for staff on inclusive teaching, learner diversity, multilingual support, and effective intervention.
* Support transition planning across Pre-Prep, Prep, and Sixth Form to ensure continuity of care and learning support.
* Collaborate with external professionals, agencies, therapists, and specialist providers where additional support is required.
* Contribute to wider school life, community initiatives, extracurricular programmes, and strategic improvement priorities.
* Maintain a reflective, solution-focused leadership approach that supports innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Ideal Profile
* Recognised Inclusion qualification required.
* Master’s degree in Inclusive Education, Educational Leadership, or a closely related field.
* Minimum 4 years of leadership experience in Inclusion within an international school, through-school, or similar education setting.
* Strong track record of improving outcomes for diverse learners, multilingual students, and students with additional needs.
* Deep understanding of inclusive education, personalised learning, IEP provision, ELL support, and whole-school intervention models.
* Confident leadership ability with experience building, coaching, and managing Inclusion teams.
* Excellent communication, collaboration, organisation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
* Strategic and reflective approach with the ability to translate vision into practical, measurable provision.
* Strong commitment to equity, access, belonging, safeguarding, and student wellbeing.
* Ability to thrive in a dynamic school environment focused on innovation, research, AI, robotics, and future-ready learning.
