Job Overview
As the Early Years Arabic Lead, you will play a key leadership role in guiding the delivery of Arabic language education across the Foundation Stage. This includes ensuring alignment with the UAE Ministry of Education (MOE) curriculum, mentoring Arabic staff, and fostering a language-rich environment that supports early childhood development and cultural appreciation.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the planning, implementation, and assessment of the MOE Arabic curriculum for Early Years (FS1 and FS2)
* Mentor and manage a team of Arabic teachers and teaching assistants within the early childhood department
* Promote a nurturing classroom environment that supports language acquisition and holistic development
* Monitor student progress through formative and summative assessments aligned with UAE national expectations
* Collaborate with FS teachers, inclusion teams, and leadership to ensure cohesive language integration across the Early Years curriculum
* Support the development of Arabic literacy through phonics, storytelling, play-based learning, and interactive activities
* Organize cultural and language events that reflect Emirati heritage and Arabic language celebration
* Contribute to whole-school Arabic development plans and work closely with the Arabic and Islamic Education leadership team
* Maintain open and constructive communication with parents regarding student progress and language support strategies
* Ensure compliance with all GEMS and MOE guidelines related to Arabic instruction and school operations
Job Requirements
Education:
* B.Ed. in Early Childhood or Arabic Education, OR a Bachelor\'s degree in Arabic Language with a recognized PGCE / PGDE / Diploma in Education
Experience:
* Minimum 3–5 years of experience in teaching the MOE Arabic curriculum within the Early Years phase
* Prior leadership or coordination experience within a large Arabic teaching team is required
* Familiarity with the National Curriculum for England and integration within international FS settings is preferred
Skills:
* Strong leadership, mentoring, and collaboration skills
* Deep understanding of early childhood pedagogy and language acquisition
* Excellent classroom management and communication abilities
* Proficiency in using digital tools and interactive whiteboards in the classroom
* Arabic fluency is essential; proficiency in English is required for collaboration with international staff
