Key Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver high-quality early years lessons aligned with the school’s teaching and learning policy.
* Create a positive climate for learning that supports outstanding classroom practice and student engagement.
* Set clear teaching objectives, learning targets, and differentiated activities based on prior attainment.
* Identify SEN, POD, EAL, and gifted students, ensuring their learning needs are supported through suitable strategies.
* Use assessment for learning, performance data, and key progress indicators to guide planning and classroom provision.
* Maintain strong behaviour expectations in line with the school’s Behaviour for Learning Policy.
* Use ICT effectively to enhance learning, support progress, and create interactive classroom experiences.
* Assess learning objectives regularly and adjust teaching approaches to improve student understanding.
* Mark student work, provide feedback, and set progress targets in line with the school’s marking policy.
* Keep systematic records of student progress and use assessment evidence to support future planning.
* Prepare clear reports for parents and participate in parent, student, and school community events.
* Contribute to subject and curriculum development by reviewing plans, schemes of work, and learning resources.
Ideal Profile
* Bachelor’s Degree in a related subject.
* PGCE or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
* Minimum 1-2 years of experience as an Early Years Classroom Teacher in the English Curriculum.
* Secure understanding of early years teaching, the English National Curriculum, assessment, and differentiated learning.
* Proven ability to raise standards, close learning gaps, and support progress across different ability levels.
* Knowledge of child protection, safeguarding, and current developments in education.
* Strong interpersonal, communication, organisation, and classroom management skills.
* Commitment to continuing professional development and reflective teaching practice.
* Experience working in more than one international school is an advantage.
* Able to work under pressure, solve problems, manage challenging situations, and remain resilient.
