Key Responsibilities
* Deliver targeted ELL and EAL instruction that supports students in developing academic English, subject vocabulary, reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills.
* Plan differentiated language support for learners across the British curriculum, helping students access classroom content with confidence.
* Use digital language tools, interactive learning platforms, and structured intervention programmes to improve student progress.
* Work closely with classroom teachers to embed language development strategies across subjects and year groups.
* Collaborate with the Inclusion team and school leadership to design effective support plans for multilingual learners.
* Assess student language levels, monitor progress, identify learning needs, and adjust interventions based on evidence and data.
* Support students from early years through secondary levels in a through-school learning environment.
* Engage parents and external specialists to create a joined-up approach to language development and student wellbeing.
* Promote inclusive classroom practice so English Language Learners can participate fully in academic and wider school life.
* Contribute to school events, extracurricular activities, and community initiatives that strengthen the student experience.
Ideal Profile
* UK-approved ELL or EAL qualification relevant to working with young people and children in a school setting.
* Relevant PGCE or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
* Minimum 3 years of experience as an ELL or EAL Teacher in an international high-performing school.
* Experience working in a through-school environment for students aged 3 to 18 is preferred.
* Proven record of improving ELL or EAL provision in a school environment.
* Strong knowledge of current ELL and EAL best practice, including UAE, UK, and global education policy.
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with parents, teachers, leadership teams, and external partners.
* Passion for inclusion, equity, multilingual education, and student-centered learning.
* Reflective, solution-focused mindset with the ability to improve practice through research and evidence-informed teaching.
