Role Context
The Foundation Stage Teacher - EYFS will support early childhood development through play-based learning, structured classroom activities, observation-led assessment, and child-centered teaching. The role requires a teacher who can plan meaningful lessons, promote communication and social development, support early literacy and numeracy, and create a safe, caring, and stimulating environment aligned with EYFS expectations. The successful candidate should be able to join immediately and contribute to a collaborative school community.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver engaging EYFS lessons that support early childhood learning, curiosity, creativity, and development.
* Create a safe, positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment for Foundation Stage children.
* Support children’s development across communication and language, physical development, personal social and emotional development, literacy, mathematics, understanding the world, and expressive arts.
* Use play-based and inquiry-led teaching strategies to encourage exploration, confidence, independence, and active participation.
* Prepare age-appropriate learning activities, classroom resources, displays, stories, songs, creative tasks, and practical experiences.
* Observe, assess, and record children’s learning progress in line with EYFS curriculum expectations.
* Identify individual learning needs and provide differentiated support for children with varied abilities and developmental stages.
* Build strong relationships with children through patience, care, encouragement, and positive classroom routines.
* Communicate professionally with parents and guardians regarding student progress, wellbeing, behavior, and learning milestones.
* Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, coordinators, school leaders, and colleagues to support curriculum delivery and student development.
* Maintain accurate records of lesson plans, observations, assessments, attendance, and classroom documentation.
* Promote early literacy, phonics awareness, numeracy skills, fine motor development, social skills, and emotional confidence.
* Support school activities, events, assemblies, parent meetings, and professional development sessions.
* Follow school policies related to safeguarding, inclusion, health and safety, child protection, assessment, and student wellbeing.
Ideal Profile
* Postgraduate or undergraduate qualification with UAE-attested certificate.
* B.Ed qualification is mandatory.
* Good knowledge of the EYFS Curriculum.
* Minimum 1-2 years of experience in the same field is required.
* Experience teaching Foundation Stage or Early Years learners in a school environment.
* Experience in the British Curriculum will be an advantage.
* Excellent English communication skills.
* Strong classroom management, lesson planning, observation, and assessment skills.
* Ability to create a caring, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning environment.
* Passionate about early childhood education, child development, and holistic learning.
* Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, assistants, parents, and school leadership.
* Professional approach to documentation, parent communication, and school responsibilities.
