Key Responsibilities
* Lead the strategic planning, delivery, and improvement of MOE subjects across the school.
* Ensure Arabic, Islamic Studies, UAE Social Studies, and related curriculum areas meet KHDA, Ministry of Education, and UAE National Agenda expectations.
* Work closely with the Principal, senior leadership team, and academic departments to strengthen teaching quality and student progress.
* Monitor curriculum planning, lesson delivery, assessment standards, student data, and intervention plans across MOE subject areas.
* Support teachers through coaching, performance review, professional development, and regular feedback.
* Prepare documentation, reports, evidence files, and improvement plans for inspections, audits, and regulatory reviews.
* Track student achievement and use assessment data to identify gaps, improve outcomes, and guide departmental priorities.
* Ensure policies, procedures, safeguarding expectations, and school standards are followed across all MOE-related provision.
* Build strong communication with parents, staff, students, and external stakeholders regarding MOE curriculum requirements.
* Promote UAE culture, values, national identity, inclusion, and respect across school life.
* Lead departmental meetings, curriculum reviews, action planning, and quality assurance activities.
* Contribute to whole-school improvement planning and support the wider academic vision of the school.
Ideal Profile
* Relevant Bachelor’s degree in Arabic, Islamic Studies, Education, or a related field.
* Master’s degree is preferred.
* Recognised teaching qualification such as B.Ed or equivalent.
* Minimum 5 years of teaching experience in a school environment.
* Minimum 2 years of officially documented leadership experience in a similar role such as Head of MOE or Academic Supervisor.
* Strong knowledge of KHDA requirements, UAE Ministry of Education expectations, and inspection preparation.
* Proven ability to lead teachers, improve curriculum quality, and raise student outcomes.
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to work confidently with senior leaders, teachers, parents, and regulators.
* Strong organisational ability with experience managing documentation, data, compliance, and departmental planning.
