Role Context
The ICT Teacher - A Level will support students in developing strong digital literacy, analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, practical ICT skills, and confidence for advanced academic study. The role requires structured lesson planning, schemes of work, assessment preparation, class teacher responsibilities, and close collaboration with students, parents, and colleagues. The successful candidate should be immediately available and committed to safeguarding and promoting student welfare.
Key Responsibilities
* Facilitate effective teaching and learning of ICT in preparation for A Level examinations.
* Prepare schemes of work, daily lesson plans, weekly lesson plans, assessment tasks, and learning resources for structured curriculum delivery.
* Deliver engaging ICT lessons that support student knowledge, examination readiness, practical skills, and conceptual understanding.
* Actively contribute to raising standards of teaching practice and student learning in the classroom.
* Encourage active learning, higher-order thinking, critical thinking, problem-solving, creativity, and innovation.
* Support students in developing confidence with digital tools, ICT concepts, data handling, systems understanding, and technology applications.
* Assess student progress through classwork, assignments, practical tasks, projects, tests, examination-style questions, and formative assessment methods.
* Provide constructive feedback and maintain accurate records of attainment, progress, attendance, and classroom performance.
* Manage class teacher responsibilities with a focus on student enrichment, academic progress, behavior, and wellbeing.
* Work closely with students and parents through clear communication, guidance, and learning support.
* Collaborate with colleagues as an excellent team player to support curriculum planning, assessment, and school improvement.
* Use strong IT and interpersonal communication skills to enhance teaching, learning, and stakeholder engagement.
