Job Overview
The Instructional Coach supports the continuous professional growth of teachers through individualized coaching, modeling best practices, and delivering professional development initiatives. This role contributes directly to improving student outcomes by guiding instructional planning, assessment use, and curriculum alignment across the school.
Key Responsibilities
* Promote the school’s instructional philosophy and GEMS vision by fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence
* Build strong, supportive relationships with teachers to enhance instructional effectiveness
* Guide and support teachers through one-on-one coaching, co-planning, lesson modeling, and reflective dialogue
* Assist teachers in analyzing student performance data to inform differentiated instruction and improve learning outcomes
* Provide professional development on researched-based instructional practices, classroom management, and curriculum design
* Offer resources and strategies to enhance student engagement, motivation, and academic achievement
* Collaborate with school leadership to align coaching goals with school improvement priorities
* Observe instruction and provide feedback in a constructive, non-evaluative manner
* Support teachers in using assessment tools and integrating digital resources into instruction
* Encourage ongoing professional growth through workshops, conferences, and internal learning opportunities
* Assist in developing instructional materials and aligning them with curriculum standards
* Serve as a curriculum and instructional advisor in the development of school-wide assessments and improvement initiatives
* Maintain confidentiality and uphold a professional, collegial approach in all teacher interactions
* Report to the Principal and Head of School/CEO and perform additional responsibilities as assigned

Education:
* Master’s degree (preferred) from an accredited institution
