Role Context
The Islamic B Teacher - British Curriculum will plan, deliver, and assess Islamic Studies lessons in line with UAE curriculum requirements and school academic standards. The role requires a teacher who can communicate clearly, work collaboratively with colleagues, support students from diverse backgrounds, and promote Islamic values in a respectful, engaging, and age-appropriate learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver engaging Islamic B lessons aligned with UAE curriculum requirements and British curriculum school expectations.
* Teach Islamic Studies to non-Arabic speaking students using clear explanations, age-appropriate resources, and interactive teaching methods.
* Support students in developing knowledge of Islamic values, beliefs, practices, manners, ethics, Quranic understanding, and Islamic history.
* Prepare lesson plans, learning materials, activities, assessments, and classroom tasks that encourage student participation and understanding.
* Use differentiated teaching strategies to meet the learning needs of students with different abilities and language backgrounds.
* Assess student progress through classwork, homework, projects, oral participation, written tasks, and formal assessments.
* Maintain accurate records of student achievement, behavior, attendance, feedback, and learning progress.
* Create a positive and respectful classroom environment that encourages discipline, confidence, curiosity, and moral development.
* Work collaboratively with subject leaders, teachers, coordinators, and school leadership to support curriculum planning and academic improvement.
* Communicate professionally with parents and guardians regarding student progress, learning needs, and classroom expectations.
* Use educational technology and digital resources to enhance Islamic B teaching and student engagement.
* Participate in school events, Islamic activities, assemblies, staff meetings, inspections, and professional development initiatives.
* Promote UAE values, cultural awareness, respect, tolerance, and responsible student conduct within the school community.
* Follow school policies related to safeguarding, inclusion, assessment, classroom management, and student wellbeing.
Ideal Profile
* Master’s degree in Islamic Studies.
* Teaching qualification or certification such as PGCE, B.Ed., or equivalent.
* Strong knowledge of Islamic B curriculum requirements in the UAE.
* Experience teaching Islamic Studies in a British curriculum school will be an advantage.
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage students from diverse backgrounds.
* Collaborative attitude with the ability to work effectively with academic teams and school leadership.
* Strong classroom management, lesson planning, assessment, and student support skills.
