Role Context
The Islamic B Teacher - British Curriculum will plan, teach, and assess Islamic B lessons that help students understand Islamic values, beliefs, practices, ethics, Quranic concepts, and cultural awareness. The teacher will work closely with academic colleagues and school leadership to maintain strong classroom standards, encourage respectful learning, and support student progress in a diverse Dubai school environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver well-structured Islamic B lessons in line with UAE curriculum requirements and British curriculum school standards.
* Teach Islamic Studies to non-Arabic speaking students using clear explanations, engaging resources, and age-appropriate learning activities.
* Support students in understanding Islamic beliefs, values, manners, ethics, worship practices, Quranic themes, Seerah, and Islamic history.
* Prepare lesson plans, worksheets, presentations, assessments, and classroom activities that encourage active student participation.
* Use differentiated teaching methods to support students with varied language abilities, learning needs, and academic levels.
* Assess student progress through classwork, homework, oral responses, projects, quizzes, written tasks, and formal assessments.
* Provide constructive feedback to students and maintain accurate records of progress, attendance, attainment, and classroom performance.
* Create a positive classroom environment that promotes respect, discipline, confidence, curiosity, and moral development.
* Collaborate with subject leaders, teachers, coordinators, and school leadership to support curriculum planning and learning improvement.
* Communicate professionally with parents and guardians regarding student progress, expectations, and learning support when required.
* Use educational technology and digital resources to enhance Islamic B teaching and student engagement.
* Participate in school events, Islamic activities, assemblies, staff meetings, inspections, and professional development sessions.
* Promote UAE values, tolerance, cultural respect, responsible behavior, and positive student conduct across the school community.
* Follow school policies related to safeguarding, inclusion, classroom management, assessment, and student wellbeing.
Ideal Profile
* Master’s degree in Islamic Studies.
* Teaching qualification or certification such as PGCE, B.Ed., or equivalent.
* Strong knowledge of Islamic B curriculum requirements in the UAE.
* Experience teaching Islamic Studies in a British curriculum school will be an advantage.
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage students from diverse backgrounds.
* Collaborative attitude with the ability to work effectively with teachers, coordinators, and school leadership.
* Strong classroom management, lesson planning, assessment, and student support skills.
* Ability to teach Islamic values in a respectful, inclusive, and age-appropriate way.
