This position is suitable for a qualified Mathematics educator with UAE teaching experience, strong subject knowledge, classroom confidence, and the ability to support student progress in the upcoming academic year starting August 2025.
Role Context
The Mathematics Teacher - British Curriculum will plan, deliver, and assess Mathematics lessons that help students build numerical fluency, logical reasoning, problem-solving ability, and confidence in mathematical concepts. The role requires strong lesson planning, curriculum understanding, assessment practice, student engagement, and professional collaboration within a school environment that values academic achievement and holistic development.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver well-structured Mathematics lessons aligned with British Curriculum expectations and school academic standards.
* Teach key Mathematics concepts including number skills, algebra, geometry, measurement, statistics, reasoning, and problem-solving.
* Create engaging lesson plans that support student understanding, participation, confidence, and academic progress.
* Use differentiated teaching strategies to meet the needs of students with varied abilities and learning styles.
* Assess student learning through classwork, homework, tests, quizzes, projects, observations, and formative assessment methods.
* Provide constructive feedback to students and maintain accurate records of progress, attainment, attendance, and classroom performance.
* Support students in developing mathematical thinking, analytical skills, accuracy, and independent learning habits.
* Prepare learning resources, worksheets, digital materials, and classroom activities that make Mathematics practical and accessible.
* Maintain a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment that encourages discipline and active participation.
* Collaborate with subject leaders, coordinators, teachers, and school leadership to improve curriculum delivery and student outcomes.
* Communicate professionally with parents and guardians regarding student progress, learning needs, and academic support.
* Use educational technology and digital tools to enhance Mathematics teaching and classroom engagement.
* Participate in staff meetings, professional development, school events, assessments, and curriculum planning activities.
* Follow school policies related to safeguarding, inclusion, assessment, behavior management, and student wellbeing.
Ideal Profile
* Master’s degree in Mathematics with B.Ed. preferred.
* Minimum 1 year of teaching experience in the UAE in a similar role.
* Familiarity with the British Curriculum will be an advantage.
* Experience teaching Mathematics in a school environment.
* Candidates on sponsor or spouse visas are preferred.
* Strong subject knowledge with the ability to explain Mathematics concepts clearly and confidently.
* Excellent classroom management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to plan lessons, assess student progress, and support different learning needs.
* Professional approach to collaboration, parent communication, academic documentation, and school responsibilities.
