The Primary Class Teacher - British Curriculum will play an important role in supporting pupils across the primary phase through strong lesson planning, effective classroom practice, assessment-informed teaching, and positive pastoral care. The position requires a teacher who can nurture curiosity, confidence, independence, and academic progress while maintaining high expectations for behaviour, learning habits, and student wellbeing. Key Responsibilities

* Plan and deliver engaging primary lessons that support student progress, curiosity, confidence, and achievement across the British curriculum.
* Create a positive classroom climate where pupils feel safe, respected, motivated, and ready to learn.
* Use clear learning objectives, success criteria, and age-appropriate teaching strategies to help students understand expectations and make steady progress.
* Differentiate lessons to support the full ability range within the class, including students who require additional support or greater challenge.
* Use assessment information, classroom observations, and student work to inform planning, intervention, and next steps for learning.
* Maintain high expectations for behaviour, effort, presentation, participation, and respect across all classroom activities.
* Develop strong relationships with students, helping them grow academically, socially, emotionally, and personally.
* Communicate effectively with parents and carers regarding student progress, wellbeing, achievements, and areas for development.
* Work collaboratively with year group colleagues, subject leaders, support staff, and senior leaders to strengthen planning and curriculum delivery.

Ideal Profile

* Bachelor’s degree in Education or a relevant subject with a recognized teaching qualification.
* Primary teaching qualification such as PGCE, QTS, B.Ed., or equivalent is highly desirable.
