Key Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver well-structured Primary lessons that support curiosity, creativity, confidence, and strong learning progress.
* Teach in line with the school curriculum while applying effective pedagogy and age-appropriate classroom strategies.
* Create a safe, positive, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment for students with different abilities and learning styles.
* Assess, record, and report student progress using clear evidence to guide next steps and support individual achievement.
* Use ICT, digital tools, and classroom resources to improve engagement, understanding, and independent learning.
* Collaborate with colleagues to plan units of work, share effective teaching practices, and contribute to curriculum development.
* Communicate regularly with parents to provide updates on student progress, wellbeing, behaviour, and classroom participation.
* Promote cultural awareness, resilience, respect, UAE values, and a genuine love of learning.
* Participate in co-curricular activities, extracurricular programmes, school events, committees, and community initiatives.
* Follow GEMS Education Core Values, safeguarding expectations, school policies, and professional teaching standards at all times.
Ideal Profile
* Bachelor’s Degree in Education or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
* Bachelor’s Degree with recognised teaching certification or licence may also be considered.
* Minimum 2 years of teaching experience in a relevant primary age group or subject area.
* Previous experience teaching the National Curriculum for England is highly desirable.
* International school experience is an advantage.
* Strong understanding of ICT in education and how technology can enhance learning.
* Skilled classroom practitioner with high expectations for student learning, behaviour, and personal development.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with students, parents, colleagues, and school leaders.
* Reflective teacher who values continuous professional development and improvement.
